When I purchased this laptop for my wife the tag was $450. and what we received for the money was quite the bargain. My wife's usage needs included web surfing, email, light gaming, and most importantly online video streaming. This machine does all that and more.

Positives:

. Just HD video system. The mask is 16/9 aspect ratio which means it'll show a native wide camouflage format. (no shaded bars) Most Laptops are 16/10 aspect ratio which gives you the bars on top and bottom.

. The machine has HDMI out. This allows us stream internet tv and video to our plasma spacious mask if we both want to search for.

. Wireless N connectivity for up to 300kbs internet speeds.

. Onboard web cam is nice.

. Free upgrade to windows 7 is also a bonus that saves you >$100 compared to a separate seize.

. Fine screen

About the only negatives I can contemplate of is that it would be nice to have a finger print reader for security and perhaps a video card that could handle 3D gaming. (If I were to absorb it, for my wife it's perfect)

I purchased this Laptop about a week ago. I am so impressed with it so far. For 500 hundred dollars I usually employ it in the mall, and when you take this Laptop you don't regret it because its cheap. Before I bought it, I looked at all of your guys recommendation's, so thanks to all of you. I recommend this Laptop to anyone. I Appreciate IT.

I had a Sony Vaio from 2003 and loved it. But I knew it was time for an updated computer after it went abominable a second time. I looked at Consumer Reports and this Acer computer got 57 out of 100 points but the best only got 75 - so not too dreadful. It said the processor was lifeless if gaming. But I do some photo stuff, some word documents, and internet so I figured the processor rush wouldn't be too unpleasant - and I haven't noticed anything dreary about this computer at all.

So I gain the computer and it is so ravishing and the perfect size! And it has gigantic speakers and the hide is so crystal positive. Now I realize I'm comparing it to a 2003 model - but calm it really is nice and is Snappily in everything I've asked it to do. It came with Windows 7 upgrade for free which is being mailed. I've personalized it with my software (Roxio and Office) and have faded it a fine bit. It has lots of plugs for my 2 printers, track ball, regular size keyboard (although the placement of the keys on this computer is ample and I don't really need to add a regular keyboard) . I'm really very impressed with this note and my loyalty to Sony is diminishing a shrimp every day. The venerable Vaio was about 2,200.00 and this Acer was 450.00! I am very surprised and happy so far.

So I pick up the computer and it is so lovely and the perfect size! And it has immense speakers and the veil is so crystal certain. Now I realize I'm comparing it to a 2003 model - but aloof it really is nice and is Quickly in everything I've asked it to do. It came with Windows 7 upgrade for free which is being mailed.
